We are an ethical, small, boutique breeder of Bernedoodles located in Ventura County, California—just 15 minutes west of northern Los Angeles, 1 ½ hours north of Orange County, 2 ½ hours north of San Diego, and a short 1 ½ hour flight from San Francisco.

Our puppies’ parents are not only beautiful, smart, well-trained, and well-socialized members of our family, they have also been genetically tested and cleared through Paw Prints Genetics and have passed OFA and PennHip exams for hips and elbows. We have approximately four litters per year so that our dogs and their puppies will have as much personal attention from us as possible, including early neurological stimulation and early socialization through many Puppy Culture protocols. Our puppies are raised in our home and around our three children who help provide plenty of noise and cuddles.

Worth the Wait

While we usually have a 6-12 month waiting list, we do sometimes have surprise openings, and I promise we are worth the wait! I don’t know of any other Bernedoodle breeder that does the extensive health testing we do. Most stop at genetic testing. If you’re lucky, you’ll find one that also does OFA hips and elbows. It’s extremely rare to find one that does that plus OFA cardiac and thyroid. But we also do CBC blood chem and protein-creatinine ratio to make sure our dogs have excellent kidney and liver function before breeding. I don’t know of any other breeder who goes the extra mile in that manner, not to mention Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture protocols. 🙂

We are passionate about breeding happy, healthy puppies and finding them loving and devoted forever homes. We know that many people are excited about the bernedoodle breed; however, it is very important to us that the interest in our pups runs deeper than a fad. That’s why we require a completed puppy questionnaire and a phone interview from everyone who is interested in a Beloved Bernedoodle. We don’t have many puppies per year, and we have to be selective as we match our puppies with individuals and families who will be committed to their health and happiness for life.

Giving Back

Ten percent of all our proceeds go to wonderful non-profit organizations such as Compassion International, an amazing humanitarian aid ministry that helps children in need all over the world; the International Justice Mission, which fights human trafficking here in the US and abroad, rescuing and restoring victims of trafficking and oppression; and the Dream Center Los Angeles, which is a resource center that provides support to those affected by homelessness, hunger, and addiction. It is a JOY to support these organizations!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Beloved Bernedoodles are sold to pet homes only. They are not for breeding. We have a strict spay and neuter contract with all our families.

A Little About Me:

My name is Angela, and like many, I’ve been an animal lover all my life. Though I grew up in a suburb of San Diego, I was a farm girl at heart, taking care of my own little garden as well as many animals over the years, i.e. family dogs, cats, a rabbit, lizards, tree frogs, a salamander, at least eight hamsters, and even a chicken. I would find baby doves and hummingbirds that had fallen from their nests and try to nurse them back to health. I must have missed my calling in veterinary medicine and opted for a degree in journalism instead. When I’m not taking care of puppies or my kids or corresponding with future forever families, you can often find me writing at my computer with my poodles curled up by my feet.

When I first discovered the Bernedoodle, I absolutely fell in love. I had always been captivated by the striking beauty of the Bernese Mountain Dog and of course loved our poodles’ goofy yet regal, intelligent and athletic qualities. Put those two breeds together and get the best of both worlds? Yes please! I also loved that the gorgeous tri-color markings of the Bernese Mountain Dog sometimes could be maintained while creating a non-shedding, hypoallergenic coat (especially for people like my middle daughter who suffers from allergies to dogs with fur) and creating a new breed with the potential to live longer than the Bernese Mountain Dog, which often has a shorter life span comparatively.

It’s a family affair at Beloved Bernedoodles. My husband, our three children, and even my in-laws all help contribute to the well-being of our dogs. We hope you enjoy looking through our gallery and that we might be able to assist you in finding your future fur baby!
