Bella is a tri-color, phantom parti F1b Bernedoodle. Her personality, temperament, and mannerisms are much more like her Bernese Mountain Dog side than her poodle side. As a young pup, Bella learned the most commands more quickly than any dog I’ve ever been blessed to have. She’s calm, loving, and sweet. She comes near for cuddles and follows me wherever I go, but she is independent as well. Her coat is more of what you’d expect an F1 bernedoodle to have. It’s soft with a surprisingly loose wave/curl for an F1b doodle, who usually have super curly coats. Bella is an awesome mom and passes her wonderful qualities along to her pups.

RETIRED ~ Our beautiful girl, Daisy, is an AKC standard, black and white parti poodle. She is laid back yet athletic, with high ball drive. She loves her tennis ball, even diving into the swimming pool to retrieve it. Daisy hails from UKC champions and fly ball champions. She has so much color and quality in her pedigree, and has one of the best temperaments in a dog we’ve ever been blessed to have. Daisy enjoys car rides, walks, hikes, swimming, playing with her siblings, food, and curling up to sleep next to us β even in inconvenient places. This one definitely has my husband’s heart. When he says “my girl,” it always takes me a second to remember he’s not talking about me or our daughters, but Daisy! π

RETIRED ~ Ruby is an AKC standard, brown and tan phantom poodle with the softest hair I have ever felt on a poodleβit’s like cashmere and so easy to groom. Her phantom markings and her hazel eyes are quite stunning. Ruby also comes from UKC and fly ball champions. She is very loving, loyal, eager to please, and excellent at “manding,” which is to sit, make eye contact, and wait for her next instruction. She knows about a dozen commands and hardly ever barks. Any time day or night, Ruby loves to stare deeply into your eyes and get pets and cuddles. She is an excellent mom and we throws beautiful colors.

Charlie is the sire of our F1b or F2 pups. Charlie’s mom is an AKC Bernese Mountain Dog who passed all genetic screenings, and his dad is an AKC standard, brown and white parti poodle who has passed all health testing including a good PennHip score. Charlie is the best boy, and everything we could hope for, temperament wise. He is well-mannered, great with people and other dogs, and lives with his loving guardian family who gets stopped wherever they go by people who want to know what Charlie is and where he came from! Charlie throws tri-color, brown, black, yellow, red, and parti colors. He’s a star!

Murphy is an excellent AKC registered Bernese Mountain Dog we are fortunate to be able to use as the sire of our bernedoodle puppies. We searched high and low for another BMD stud with the same beautiful markings, conformation, and health clearances as our own Gatsby. Murphy’s wonderful owner has been breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs for 20 years. Murphy has been genetic tested and is clear of all available geneticΒ testing for his breed, and his OFA rating for hips and elbows are good. π
Murphy’s breeder/owner shares that he is a smart boy and keeps her family laughing with his silly personality. He is calm and we are thankful that he has sired calm puppies as well. Murphy weight fluctuates between 67 and 70 pounds, which I love because he is less likely to have the underlying health issues that the larger BMDs can have, and it is much easier on my breeding females.

Maximillion is our tri-color multi-gen Bernedoodle stud and a friend to everyone he meets. He is smart, cuddly, loving, and has a goofy side. He lives with an amazing guardian home who tells us that he loves to give hugs and to go on walks (he is great on leash) and car rides. He hardly ever barks, which is always a plus! Max has completed a three-week board and train with Les Pawtounes and is total gentleman.
Max has a small percentage (5.65%) of golden mountain doodle in his genetics, which accounts for his trainable and happy nature. “This adorable hybrid first came into existence at SwissRidge Kennels in 2013. [It] is made up of a golden retriever, Bernese mountain dog and poodle. This cross blends the clever, yet amusing side of the poodle with the placid, loyal, loving nature of the golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog. Most golden mountain doodles are low- to non-shedding and are a safe bet for most people with allergies.” The golden mountain doodle was bred originally by SwissRidge Kennels in Canada because the owner wanted to counter the stubborn tendencies that Bernese Mountain dog can have by breeding back in the happy-go-lucky, eager-to-please nature of the golden retriever.
